Resource Commercial Flooring Network announces agreement
with Comprehensive Search.

Resource Commercial Flooring Network Executive Director Ron Lee announced that his organization has signed an agreement with Comprehensive Search in LaGrange, Georgia to supply search services as well as assessment instruments for its members. Lee said, “One of the most important things our members do is the hiring of new and management of existing employees. However, this is an area where most of our members do not have the expertise or the time these processes require. Recognizing this we looked for expert help and selected Comprehensive Search. They were our choice because of their history, results, number of recruiters covering North America, plus their array of search and assessment services”.
Resource Commercial Flooring Network, LLC (RCFN) is a member owned network of professional commercial flooring contractors located throughout the United States. RCFN was formed when it acquired the assets of Resource Connec+ from Interface, Inc. in March 2006. The organizations goal is to ensure that the flooring contractor’s value in the supply chain is recognized and enhanced. The basic business principle is to provide its member owners programs, services and additional income unavailable as a stand alone independent company. Example programs and services include marketing, advertising, cost management, recruiting and training. RCFN’s gross income is derived through negotiated purchase rebates from its Vendor partners for purchases made by member owners. Portions of the income are used to offset operating costs and the balance is returned quarterly to the member owners in loyalty rebate payments. Member owner purchases through the program are tracked separately and are reduced by a proportionate share of the operating costs. Any negotiated group incentives are shared by each member owner in proportion to their contribution to the goal.
Comprehensive Search was founded by Jeffrey W. Brown in 1983. Prior to then he managed Milliken’s contract business. Comprehensive Search has grown to be the largest search firm within the interior furnishings and building products industries. They have done searches for just about every title within that focus over their 23 year history. There are 10 recruiters located throughout the United States. The staff in LaGrange, Georgia has expertise in recruiting, databank management, interviewing, references and finding passive candidates among the billions of pages on the internet. Further, they have the latest in technology in regard to applicant tracking software and sourcing software. In 2004, they launched CareerTrip.com which is a niche job board serving the same focus which allows Resource members to inexpensively post openings or access the several thousand resumes on that web-site.
The assessment instrument they represent creates a success profile of the position for which the candidate is being considered within the Resource member network. The applicant can than take the test 24/7 on the internet with results emailed to the member/hiring manager shortly thereafter. This further enhances the hiring decisions made by the member.
Lee concluded, “We are pleased that we are able to find a firm with this type of expertise to enhance the hiring decisions made by our members. Further the fees for these services are discounted”.
